There are three beautiful churches in Nykvarn.
The oldest parts of Turinge church date back to the 12th century. Famous 17th century Swedish military engineer, field marshal and architect Erik Dahlbergh is buried here with his family, in a crypt designed by himself; the crypt is regarded as one of the most prominent baroque monuments in Sweden. In the church porch there is a rune stone from the 11th century with an exceptionally long inscription.
Taxinge church was probably built in the 1690´s. It was exhaustively rebuilt in 1863 and has maintained the same appearance ever since. The church is considered to be the best example of 19th century Gothic architecture in the region.
Nykvarn church is located in the center of Nykvarns and it was built in 1974.
In this church you will also find a new café, march 2015.
